The production process is generally divided into two steps. The first step is feeding the metal wire into the crimping equipment, which has two gear-shaped dies that press the wire into a specific curved arc, followed by cutting. The second step is separating the cut wire pieces into warp and weft strands, then placing them into the weaving machine, which weaves them into the finished wire mesh.

Weaving process

The crimped wire mesh weaving machine adopts a fundamental “crimp-then-weave” process. Through double pressing and staggered pressing, the weft wires are interwoven into the warp wires to form a staggered structure. The finished crimped wire mesh produced this way is both aesthetically pleasing and practical, offering high tensile strength and overall resistance to deformation. Whether producing mesh panels or mesh rolls, the process is very convenient.

Two models available

•Fully automatic crimped wire mesh weaving machine: equipped with a PLC control system. The machine automatically feeds wire, weaves, and cuts according to preset lengths. The production process is highly efficient and convenient. One operator can run multiple machines, significantly reducing labor costs.

•Semi-automatic crimped wire mesh weaving machine: requires manual weft wire feeding. This type of machine is equipped with a foot-operated brake switch. After the operator places the weft wire in the designated position and steps on the pedal, the machine automatically weaves the warp and weft wires into the mesh. The machine is easy to operate, simple to maintain, and features more durable parts.

Production process of the crimped wire mesh weaving machine (semi-automatic model):

Step 1: Crimping and cutting. The wire is fed into the crimping wire machine, which presses the metal wire into a specific curved arc, followed by cutting.

Step 2: Workers separate the cut warp wires and weft wires, and move the warp wires to the feeding inlet of the weaving machine.

Step 3: If the machine is in fully automatic mode, the weft feeding is done by the machine. If it is in semi-automatic mode, workers need to feed the weft wires manually, placing them between the two layers of staggered warp wires, and then the machine sets the mesh structure.

Step 4: The finished crimped wire mesh is output from the discharge outlet. When the target length is reached, it is cut off by the cutting device.

1.What should I do if the weft wire breaks during the production process of the crimped wire mesh weaving machine?

Answer: We already took similar issues into consideration when designing this machine, so you don’t need to worry too much.After crimping, the metal wire already has high toughness.Unless a machine malfunction occurs, the weft wire will generally not break.If you do encounter such a problem during production, our engineers will be happy to assist you.

2.Is the production process of the semi-automatic crimped wire mesh weaving machine safe enough? Are there any operational risks?

Answer: It is completely safe. The operator only needs to organize the metal wires and place the weft wire into the machine. While placing the weft wire, the machine remains stationary and only starts running when the operator presses the switch, effectively avoiding any operational risks.

3.Does the crimping equipment in the crimped wire mesh weaving machine come in conventional and high-speed models, or is there only one version?
